Description
In the summer of 2024, a tornado tore through downtown Rome, NY, causing severe damage to the First Presbyterian Church, a cornerstone of the community. Servpro asked us to walk this project with them the next day. Following the initial assessment, the plan started to come together. The first major task was assigned to a crane and rigging company, which was responsible for removing the historic 60-foot-wide trusses dating back to 1850. Once they were removed, StormWrappers sprang into action, providing temporary shoring, installing scaffolding to create a roof structure, and ultimately wrapping the roof in time to protect a million-dollar organ that couldn’t be moved.
